TGIF!!

Today was a great day! We worked with combining sentences as daily language review and completed our Math 4 Today assessment to get our brains warmed up. Then, in Word Study, we played word games to show our understanding of this week's generalization. Ask your kiddo why games and not a test. We had gym outside today and it was brisk! Afterward, we got a better look at what Via goes through being Auggie's sister and although it has its highs, there are also some lows. I have been meeting with students this week to discuss their independent book choices. More than a good chunk of the class are reading books that are too easy for them. I tried to talk to them about choosing more challenging books so hopefully, next week, I'll see more variation in book choices. In Math, we completed our work with rounding...well, I hope we completed it! They agreed that rounding to the nearest tens and hundreds were a lot easier than rounding to the nearest ten-thousands or hundred-thousands. Finally, we ended our day with our electronic party!! I heard a lot of "Clash of Clans" lingo! :0)
