TGIF

Today was a great day! We only need 2 more potato head pieces until our celebration! Personalizing our writer's notebooks was a lot of fun! Now, our notebooks are individualized and longing to be written in. After art, our buddies came to our room this time and we made our mark as buddies, by creating dots-complete with our pictures, signatures of course and accomplishments we'd like to make this year. Next, after they dry, we'll connect-the-dots with string to make a buddy garland. **Ms. Wallace and I tweeted this out and tagged Peter Reynolds, the author of The Dot, and he favorited our tweet! So cool! (Follow us on twitter @ADE4thGrade .) Our buddies went to lunch and we cleaned up and then had time to read, finish decorating our notebooks or visit the library. When we returned from recess, we completed a number talk on making friendly numbers, this time with larger numbers, and then continued our work with ordering and comparing numbers into the millions place. Finally, we completed our day and week by writing in our Reflection Journals. Have your child share this with you!
