Wonderful!

What a good day! We worked hard, practicing manipulating numbers in the hundreds place with our numbers of the week. Then, we picked a generalization that we had trouble with in the previous weeks and found 5 words that proved we knew the pattern. For Writer's Workshop, we created with LEGO's but didn't have much time. After gym, we read Number the Stars and learned that Ellen is headed to Annemarie's uncle's home in the country for a little "vacation" until things calm down with the German soldiers. In Reader's Workshop, we learned about Volcanoes in TFK and conferenced with me about what they've been reading independently. After lunch and recess, Mrs. Vidic was in for Guidance but the DVD player wasn't working so they did a lot of talking. :) Finally, we ended our day with math and A LOT of multiplication practice. The only way to get better is to practice and that we did!
